Fast-paced wuxia entertainment that is equal amounts playful and badass. If you ever think 'I wish Robin Hood would do more bicycle kicks and whip around dodging weapons and magical sleeves while kicking Corrupt Authority Figure ass', this is the thing for you. The kinetic action is (over the) top notch and I kinda want to watch it again right now.

still waiting for a marvel movie in which the hero says stuff like "how can you call yourself a virgin? you're so ugly, you look more like a pig!"

By far the best Kung Fu film featuring extensive wire work. The actors are great, the story is fun and fast paced and most importantly the action and martial arts are amazing. This movie brought the underrated Rongguang Yu to my attention and cemented Donnie Yen as one of if not the all time great cinematic martial artists of all time.

Fun to watch wire-fu flick. Story is thin, but who watches flying ass-kick movie for story anyway. Martial arts choreography is simply great, and that's what counts.

Great action film, too bad the sidestory of Wong Fei Hung fell through the cracks as his one fight scene was overshadowed by his father's skills. The father son aspect was a nice touch gave the movie some more depth.

Superb movie. Continuous action, nice fights. Those who are not kung-fu fans should not bother seeing tho.

Fun kung fu flick. Very solid, considering how most martial arts movies kinda suck. This does a great job entertaining the viewer even when there isn't an action scene to distract you. And the action sequences were great.

One of the best wire-fu extravaganzas from the early 90's. The editing during the fiery finale is incredible...the action is fast and frantic, but easily followed.

Great kung-fu action that doesn't break any new ground but is still awesome if that's your thing.

As a 90's Kung Fu movie this does its job pretty well. As with most of them, it is pretty cheesy and the acting isn't always the best but that is kind of expected. I enjoyed this more than I should've, especially at the end.

This is a fun kung fu film. There are plenty of good action scenes and funny moments in this movie. The cast also seem to be having a great time with their roles. I would recommend this action film.

Am I the only one who thinks that the action in this one is ridiculously, comically under cranked? It looks and plays like a freakin' silent comedy! Too bad -- this could have been a top-notch chop-socky picture if not for that.

While some may not find this sort of film their cup of tea, in the world of kung fu cinema, IRON MONKEY is one of the greatest ever and gets the highest of recommendations from me.
