Irish Wish

Works better as a trailer than a movie. The plot is so contrived that the overall story suffers. The writers know that the protagonist “needs” a third act conflict and fabricate nonsensical shite. The characters sputter cliches: “You’re running away” and “I wanted it, but not like this” and those mean absolutely nothing within the context of the dialogue. They sound more like AI inserts. Embarrassingly bad writing that ruins a good story idea.

Well that was pleasant. Finally one of these with a nice message

An easy and pleasant enough watch, with some enjoyable moments, but rather predictable.

Embarrassing American stereotypes of Ireland without a single Irish person involved in the film at any level at any stage. Awful acting, you expect it from Lohan but I thought better of Vlahos. Bizarre outfit choices underline the sheer ignorance and complete disregard of Irish culture. The attempt at Irish accents is so bad it's almost funny,funnier than anything in the awful script. That and the scenery are the only reason this isn't an absolute zero.

Fun movie with lots of laughs. Family friendly for tweens and teens. Everything fits well and the story flows smoothly. A few slapstick moments but overall a solid story with a good vibe feel to it.

A movie of few redeeming qualities. Ok to laugh at how bad it is, but they make dozens of movies like this out a year. This one just has Lindsay Lohan and Steph Curry's wife is also just there.
