Invasion of the Blood Farmers

Watched entirely based on a radio ad they play at a drive-in that you can find online. They tout all the horror and mayhem, advise you not to eat before you see it so you won't throw up and then casually mention it's rated PG. Evidently shot over three weekends and taking influence from Herschell Gordon Lewis this is a fun time despite the fact that it is decisively terrible. Makes I Eat Your Skin look like I Drink Your Blood. God, I love horror.

This "Video Nasty" is surprisingly terrible at first, but luckily ends up as a charmingly so-bad-it's-good 70's horror with plenty of unintentional laughs. From the imdb trivia-"According to the director, most of the cast members worked for a six-pack of beer as payment." This helps make sense of why everyone in the movie seems to be from the school of acting that teaches, accents=acting, but the fun-fact also makes a nice game of "spot the actors paid in beer" to play while drunk with friends.

When you watch a movie with this kind of title, you know exactly what you are in for, and yet I kinda enjoyed this one. It's goofy, oddly watchable and is wisely short.
