The story was fine, the music ranged from fine to really good, but, the animation was both distracting and annoying. This really wasn't for me.

Masaaki Yuasa's bold approach to the narrative and his use of music elevate the film to new heights, creating a unique and thrilling cinematic experience. While the film may have some issues with exposition and pacing, its overall impact is too strong to ignore.

Visually inspired, its story is a perfect punk aesthetic before it was officially a (political) thing, both high fantasy and agit-prop. Gives legitimacy to music as social exhale, and in a spiritual sense, music as shamanistic catch and release.

The songs in this are better than the ones Uta sings in One Piece Red.
