Less inspired remake of the James Cagney & Pat O'Brien vehicle Ceiling Zero (1936) with Ronald Reagan taking Cagney's place and a stiffer James Stephenson the other. Reagan is best when being the happy-go-lucky type, and hardly effective at all at the emotional aspect of th story. So the action and skirt-chaser portions were right up his alley. The guilt and tragic mood changers, not so much. This movie also marks the last time we got to see French Hollywood actress Olympe Bradna.
