The first of three murder-comedies involving Inspector Hornleigh (1939) starring Gordon Harker as the title character and Alastair Sim as his dimwit assistant. Fun in it's very British way and I'm sure fans of this type of movies will enjoy this one. I wouldn't rank it too high, a bit uneven, especially the deeper into the investigation we get, but Sim is alway good for a laugh and Harker is good in his role. Wouldn't be a bad pick for a rainy day.
