Who thought an Inquest (1939) could be this lively?! Only a minor British film, but the altercations between courtroom judge Herbert Lomas and defence attorney Hay Petrie create some wonderful exchanges! Didn't hurt to have an well known actress as Elizabeth Allan there as target of all the question surrounding her husbands death. Too bad a lot of the other aspects of this hour long murder mystery didn't share the same qualities....
