A group of 7 ballet artists - Ravi (Mohanlal), Asokan (Ratheesh), Alex (Lalu Alex), Ravindran (Pradeep), Madhavan (T.G. Ravi), Geetha (Seema) & Rekha (Rani Padmini) - go to Hong Kong & Japan at the behest of Prasad (Captain Raju), thinking they were going there to perform, but were actually being used as carriers to smuggle diamonds. They return back unscathed, but having seen the entrepreneurship & hard work of the Japanese people, they try to implement reforms in their own state of Kerala. (Summary by iceblox)
