Here's the short version: All the economic lessons here will be ignored because the American people have been conditioned to believe that outsourcing of labor, cutting education, cutting healthcare benefits, and cutting taxes (for the wealthy) benefits the average American. Maybe 150-200 years from now when economists sort through the broken husk of a once great nation this film will slip through the time capsule to give them insights into how America finally fell apart as a country.

The Fourth Reich? Inequality of what, outcomes??? Every time some national socialist *cough* Nazi *cough* wants equality of outcomes, the party elites are always the most equal. No system is perfect, but freedom with government mandated equal opportunity and equal rights always works better that government mandated "equality". It's hard to corrupt government when they can't buy votes.

One would think that if we're going to commit to watching a documentary about economics, we're in for some nerdy shit. Not true. Income inequality, wage stagnation, Wall Street, blah blah blah. I'm sure that even politically disinterested people already know this stuff. I don't think I learned a damn thing. The graphs were pretty though.

Robert Reich is always a fascinating fellow to listen to; I've been watching him tackle economic questions in whatever time he's allotted on late night talk shows for years. This doc is like taking a class from him, and not just because a third of it is literally him lecturing students. Reich takes the economy apart and explains causes and effects in ways a simpleton could understand. Sadly, all the simpletons that need to watch this movie probably won't.

A very important and simple breakdown of what has gone wrong in (and *to*) the United States.

Some interesting correlations form form Labor Secretary Reich. But don't let that fool you, all those political trolls on the boards know waaaay more about the government and economics.

Better than the average policy driven educational video. Hopefully it manages to reach an audience beyond those who find its content to be completely obvious. Unfortunately, that never seems to be the case. Either way all the information within is wrapped up nice and easy to digest that you would think even the most dense of libertardians and republicans would be able to follow it and finally 'get' it. But as they say, "you can only lead a horse to water".

Entertainment 3/4: Reich is a great speaker; occasionally humorous; movie was mildy entertaining. Spirituality 1/3: opens our hearts to the disadvantaged. Sustainability 2.5/3: Excellent communication of important message: wealth inequality.

"Robert Reich's message to America, much like director Jacob Kornbluth's uncomplicated film, is so simple and straightforward (you might even say obvious) that, without nitpicking, it can appear flawless." - Kalvin Henely
