Pretty standard issue American Pie / Superbad / Project X teen party movie deal. I’ve seen worse. I’ve sure as shit seen better. Can’t believe they actually did the bit at the beginning where the mom presents the teens with elaborate breakfast plates of eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon etc and they take one bite before heading out because they’re late for school, how has this cliche not been mocked out of existence by now.

Of course it’s no Superbad, but basically nothing is. As someone who has wasted too much of their life dedicated to teen comedies and bemoaning the fact that they’re essentially dead in film this was a nice return to form. Focused on actually being funny and it’s not some outlandish action/adventure set piece built in. It’s just a movie about going to a party. One of the best shit scenes in cinema. Maybe it’s rated a tad high but just a nice breath of fresh air.

I laughed a lot- crude humor but old school funny

I wish I would have laughed more than I did, but it felt a little try-hard. That's not to say it's BAD, because it's not. The cast is charming enough, a few lines hit, and it's never boring. But it also tidies up way too much (minus a slight swerve right at the end), and it didn't hit the levels of the great R-rated comedies. There are better examples of this genre.

Enjoyable, solid teen-party-night comedy. Enjoyed watching it, but probably won't ever think of it again.

Favourite part: sister joking with her brother about his erection. The shit scene was, admittedly, funny.
