All a bit caricature and colored-up in that old Hollywood way, where it's more a show than a true biopic. So as long as you don't really care about who Texas Guinan really was and take it as a traditional musical, then you'll probable enjoy a lot. Seems I've only seen 3 of the real Texas' films, so I don't really have any deep connection with this personality, but I'm really taking a shine to Betty Hutton personalty. A good showcase for her.
