In the Heart of the Machine

A welcoming breath of fresh air in contemporary Bulgarian cinema. Tension is built up nicely with new conflicting plot elements introduced with a decent flow, albeit it lost some edge towards the end. The interpersonal dynamics are good. Memorable characters throughout, with Macedonian actor Igor Angelov showing some acting depth at one dramatic and memorable scene. By no means a masterpiece, but it certainly alleviates expectations. /c Cinema City Paradise Centre Sofia.
