Interesting setting and Germany's two best actors in the lead (plus great casting for the supporting cast as well), but a bit too constructed for my tastes - as if it was just combining elements from different movies that might give it a shot at festivals.

Honest look at new beginnings, blossoming romance and despair in East-German wholesale markets. A genuine cast of charming characters keep the movie grounded.

Loved the vibe. Kind of offbeat and dark, but tender at the same time.

sanki sinema dediğimiz şey, meseleyi aktarırken aynısını yaşatmaya çalışmanın ötesinde olanaklar da sunuyor. rutini, sıkıntıyı, aynıyı; sadece izlerken birebir yaşatarak anlatabileceğini sanmak zor olsa gerek, hayal gücü için de bir poster; tamamdır!

Plopped into the cinema to watch this with no idea what the film was about, who it starred, where it was from, and when it was made. Glad I did -- reading the synopsis now, I'm not sure I would've felt compelled to go. It's a heartfelt, humane ode to workers, workplace, and life itself, and the characters, warts and all, are both sympathetic and intriguing in their own everyday way. Good stuff. 46th film of 2018.

Subtle, slow and elegant. Not so much about love, but rather broken lives and hopeless future; though the setting and themes are grim, the film is mainly sweet and heartwarming, and a somewhat upbeat finale surely helps.
