In My Mother's Skin

Cheap but worthy variation of EL LABERINTO DEL FAUNO's brand of historical horror, denser and far more disturbing, also much heavier on the religious aspects.

In My Mother's Skin" is a mixed effort that tries to replicate the success of "Pan's Labyrinth" but falls short. While it offers a compelling storyline and some above-average gore effects, its technical misgivings and lack of scares make for an unconvincing drama that fails to fully engage the audience.
