In Gay Madrid

In Gay Madrid..... no, it's not a homosexual movie. It does have Ramon Novarro in the lead, but the rest is straight heterosexual with Navarro flirting with Dorothy Jordan AND Lottice Howell. It's an uneven affair. Navarro gets to show enough of his charms to make a very simple story watchable. He sings a few songs and is all elegant. That's enough to make this early talkie feel at least half-satisfying. But make no mistake, this is no classic.
