A murder-mystery-cum-political-thriller with a solid if not particularly deep script, and good cinematography, but it's the cast that really shines. Illustrious Corpses boasts Max von Sydow, Fernando Rey, great Italian actors Bonacelli and Bozzuffi, and most of all it reaffirmed my adulation of Lino Ventura.
