(Viewed on 28/12/10):I.T has been largely forgotten. It isn't as good as De Sica's key Neorealist works, which probably explains its relative obscurity, but it was also released when interest in the style was waning and economic conditions were improving, so this simple story of newlyweds exploiting a loophole in the law to build their humble abode presumably didn't seem as timely. Nonetheless, it's a warm and funny film about the power of ingenuity and solidarity to overcome financial hardship.
