My first foray into commedia all'italiana and I like it enough to want to take a deeper dive into this period of Italian comedy films. However, I am hoping that all such films are not just a version of 'horny men try to cop a feel of Loren' which was the case here. It does drag in parts but there are sufficient moments of hilarity (the ongoing car joke involving Alberto Sordi is superb) to keep the viewer going, and when things slow down there is always Loren to look at (she's stunning).

One of the earliest Dino Risis, already in the genius' top form. Vibrant, bouncy romantic comedy of the kind only produced in Italy of that era, with a dynamite cast of very disparate typecasts including Sophia Loren, Raf Vallone, Alberto Sordi and Vittorio De Sica, as well as the lesser-known but equally talented Franca Valeri who also has a writing credit (as does Luigi Comencini).
