The film follows the journey of three inseparable friends: the narrator, a good city dweller; Pieretto, the most intellectual of the three, and Orestes, a simple and naive countryman. In their wanderings through the hills, they meet Poli, the drug-addicted son of the owners of the Greppo estate, under the influence of cocaine.
