Il Brigante

Story of Nino, a young boy, and the vicissitudes of his family in a small Calabrian town during the thirties and forties. After Don Francesco Tomea, local landowner, expelled his family from their land and home, and Nino's father is taken as workforce for Germany during World War II, the boy will start a friendship with Michele Rende, a renegade who after being falsely accused of murder will escape from prison and end up leading a revolt to seize plots of unused land owned by the landowner.
