The plot could've been better, I guess. But Amalric and Devos are very good together, crafting memorable characters.

Probably the last thing i'd ever expect from the co-writer of Sombre is a romantic comedy/drama about an amusingly obnoxious, incessantly passive-aggressive married couple. That said, for at least the first half it's very wry and perceptive not at all unlike a Noah Baumbach or Maren Ade film. It sort of starts to sag when the pair get separated and are deprived of the momentum created when Amalric and Devos get to play off of each other. Still, both of them are excellent the rest of the time.
