Iceman

A thin plot and even thinner action can't be carried by a 51-year-old Donnie Yen. While he definitely does have life left in him, this outing is just a poor vehicle with an aging star. The surprising thing about it, is that no one in production recognized that and attempted to rely on the semi-sucessful comedy, laughs come cheap, and you don't need to be young and fit to deliver them. Bonus points for Yen blowing up a house via plumming by crapping in a toilet. That's another breed of wuxia.

Way too much comedy that completely fails and brings the movie down. Donnie Yen is great and Simon Yam does his thing and there are some cool action pieces (tho too much CGI is used) but they just can't save this mess. Weak plot, horrible characters and badly in need of editing. The Cliffhanger ending is a big piss off too.

wtf? There's barely any action and it seems like the movie cuts off halfway through, except it really does end there.

This film has a few good fight scenes but there are far to many moments that drag on. Donnie Yen does a good job in this movie. Overall this film is disappointing.

absurd bullshit

it would appear that the producers reached "donnie yen is in it" then didn't give a shit what else went on in the movie. story is OK for an action film, though it gets nonsensical at the end. the problem is there's not really any action until one last fight scene which is more like a recent jet li film -- which is to say that the actor you came to see do stunts is only doing them in computer animated form. i didnt understand whatever the hell "twist" was at the end or why it was a cliffhanger
