An expectant father rooster fetches doctor stork, who comes out with a basket full of white chicks and one little black one, who gets crowded out of the food. After singing the title song, he manages to improvise a pair of wings and fly over the chicken coop, but regrets it when he is chased by a mean scarecrow.

Relatively fresh and cute gags around the chicken coop. Generally, I like this series best when the arrangement puts the licensed song through the paces a bit. Which it does here with "I Wish I Had Wings", a foxtrot written by Harry Woods also available in a nice recording from Bert Lown's orchestra over on Victor. Fun Fact: like the studio's immediately preceding release, "Ride Him, Bosko!" this short also features a flying girdle.
