I Melt with You

MAXIMUM DOUCHE OVERDRIVE.

Pretty good as a playlist, which it mostly is. As a feature film, it's bad.

Is this the worst midlife-crisis/mangst film ever made? There is a dialogue exchange that goes something like, "What are we doing here?" "We're not even here." Because they're so alienated, man!

Hate. Hate, hate, hate. Overgrown bros being reprehensible douche bags while doing obscene amounts of cocaine. This movie is just awful.

This is a movie centering on four truly unlikable guys that somehow managed to make me like it. This movie could be called "This is 40, Oh, and I've Made Terrible Mistakes Along the Way."

it starts off depressing with four middle aged men taking time off of their humdrum jobs for a vacation, fully aware that their lives are pathetic. i was a bit bored with the first half and then out of left field it erupts with plot turns worthy of the expletives i threw at it. this ended up being one of the darkest, most insane movies i've seen in a long time, and frankly, i kind of liked it.

A squandered opportunity. The promising first half - fueled by sordid bouts of midife-crisis self-loathing - takes a nosedive, as, dead on the half-way mark, the movie resorts to an embarassing gimmick to drive the rest of the story. This could've been a great, depraved and twisted movie, if it wasn't for a lack of balls to push the story over the edge.

The 5th movie I did not finish watching. I tried hard but after 30 minutes I gave up.
