I liked it. It's not incredibly funny - half the time it had me at a mild chuckle and half the time it went so overboard with awkwardness I just wanted to leave (the charades scenes in particular). It's a bit stupid, but it soon transformed into a bit of a guilty pleasure. It has a charm in its characters and presentation that is lacking in almost every American rom-com and I'm pretty sure that's where it won me over. That, and Merchant and Faris. I've never seen the latter this appealing.

I absolutely hated the "humor" they used throughout the entire film. I sometimes felt ashamed instead of the actors and directors, the ones who should actually feel ashamed. The ending was the only part of the movie I found somewhat acceptible and even enjoyable.

According to the structure it's a standard Rom-com, however I guess I never laughed so hard in such a movie. Awesome, awkward jokes!

Uneven. But also somewhat refreshing comedy that brings a little originality to the rom-com genre.

I give it 5 minutes...Sadly i had to sit through this in a sneak preview. It's yet another routine romantic-comedy that tries to stand out somewhat by being raunchy and offensive. Normally I'm all for that, but here it seems forced and out of place. It's like a drunk schoolgirl yelling: "woooo, look at me! I am so crazy!" just because she knows deep down that she's a boring slut who'll never stand out. To those of lesser mind, there may be some entertainment here. Everyone else: Move along.

Despite protestations otherwise, it's a standard rom-com with a few slices of extra crudity thrown in due to Mazer's involvement. To be fair there are some very funny moments, but Mazer balances the humour & the eye-rolling schmaltzy moments terribly. Its main problem however is that the four main characters are all total fuckheads. Merchant's character soon becomes tiring too, but the brilliant Olivia Coleman deserves marks. She's only in the movie for a few minutes, but absolutely steals it.

An above-average British romantic comedy. Heavily dependent on crude laughs and an on-form Anna Faris and Stephen Merchant (rarely together, more's the pity), but it unquestionably delivers the belly laughs when it needs too, and there's heart behind the fun. One that might have a shot in the States.

Wildly uneven, but when it's funny, it's hysterical. This marks the only occasion where I have EVER enjoyed a game of charades, or looking at anyone's vacation pictures.

What an annoying, cringeworthy movie. On of the most shittily written, suckingly directed, horribly unfunny movies I've ever seen. The characters are all unlikable douches. Or assholes. Except maybe for Anna Faris's character, who is just....there..... Every scene tries to play the same gag (someone being innappropriate, rude or otherwise awkward), sometimes twice, and always for way too long. And...I don't know....to make it short: The rest is incredibly dumb and stupid and the music sucks.

Every scene with Stephen Merchant is great. The rest is a nice enough if a bit artifical (just a bit) romantic comedy with some good one-liners. Stephen Merchant scenes, lot of laughs, the rest, some laughs. Romance-wise not so touching. I had a good time watching this.

A silly movie that gets a little to romantic comedy cliched at the end. Luckily no one is made out like a bad guy which is refreshing. Not enough of the Danny character who stole the movie, but if they put more of him in the movie it wouldn't be a perfect date movie

The Romance Genre is difficult, there probably hasn't been an original romance since Definitely Maybe. This one tries and fails to be original, but doesn't fail to be fun and charming. I liked it. It was a bit Notting Hill.

I got some quality laughs out of it. The ending gets a bit corny, but I wasn't too upset about it. I was glad they didn't make one of the people in the relationship the "bad guy." Perhaps I'm giving it more credit because it's mostly British actors and I would hate an American version, but then again Hollywood would have probably screwed it up.

One of those films where the supporting characters are funnier and more interesting than the main pair, who didn't seem to gel in their roles. The script wasn't great and it seemed like the film was recycling a lot of old material while simultaneously trying to be too contemporary for its own good. A reboot of erstwhile rom-com hits if you like. Forgettable.

A very quirky and fun Romance film with a sprinkling of good humor and comedy and a whole truckload of terrible comedy. It's a good thing that there were the few nice and tender moments because otherwise this film would be unwatchable. Still, Rose Byrne has a special place in my heart, I just love her as an actress. I also loved Simon Baker. Minnie Driver was quite funny. A strange concept for a film but I loved how it ended. Anna Faris played her normal role but she was also quite lovable.

Apart from the first and last half hour, which incidentally is where you see the most of Stephen Merchant, it is absolute drivel.

The trailer was more promising, Merchant was amazingly funny as always but the rest just was a bit... I just couldn't but into it, seemed a bit forced to me. Still, not a boring watch.

"Much of the film's attempted laughs come from the comedy-of-discomfort school, with an endless array of situations that milk awkwardness to a degree that makes these scenes far more unpleasant than humorous to watch." - Andrew Schenker

Bit-different wedding rom-com that's laugh-out-loud hilarious in places, generic and predictable in others. It's nice to see something new attempted with the marriage genre, and also a flick where the main actresses genuinely outshine their male counterparts for once. Really needed more Steve Merchant if it wanted a higher rating, but the fact Richard Curtis fans seem to hate it should be recommendation enough.

I quite enjoyed this. It's a pretty decent British romantic comedy. There were a bunch of times that I was laughing a lot. Most of that was due to Stephen Merchant, who was hilarious, as usual. And I love Rose Byrne too. It's not entirely a typical rom-com either, which was nice. That being said, I wasn't sure I was completely satisfied with the ending. Still, totally worth a watch.

I never really bought into the characters with the exception of the likeable Faris, so for me this film consisted of a bunch of unlikeable actors in long, awkward scenes. Everyone was trying a little too hard. Olivia Colman, however, was funny.

It's more like a relationship comedy than a rom-com. The film is more realistic about marriage than most movies and I appreciate that. It is occasionally very funny, but there are also some insanely awkward, overly long scenes, that should've been cut out. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, but I don't regret watching it either.

Very good film. Slight reservations with it being a Rom-Com, but it plays with the genre tropes delightfully and has a stronger leaning towards the "com" than the "rom". The cast all put in great performances. Recommended viewing.
