Shit acting, shit special effects, shit characters, shit plot. Nice job with this one.

When alien insectoids hailing from a cosmic dimension beyond our ken finally take the plunge and launch their invasion of Earth, they bypass the hustle and bustle of those other "high-profile" locations such as New York, Cairo, and Tokyo, and instead settle on a generic English factory town. Little do the bugs know, THIS town has a surplus of antiperspirant body spray! And...yeah, that's about it. Sorry.

My favourite moment was when I made a cheese sandwich. White bread and Edam; the only cheese made backwards.

It's not terrible, but I found it markedly weaker than the sequel The Darkest Dawn. There is also, for older viewers, a kind of unsettling implication here as almost all the older characters are not presented in a flattering light.
