A perfect, well-created, romantic comedy! Kate Hudson and Matthew Mcconaughey act great together. I laughed for days after I saw this film! Although it is all meant to be funny, makes some great points about what men really hate in women! Hilarious because it's so true. Great movie for a date night!

It's pleasant and there's definately a sparkle between McConaughey and Hudson, but the plot is tired and cliched and the dialogues are ridiculously empty and pointless. On the plus side, you 'll never see the ending coming. (Spoiler: They fall in love)

Decent concept, terrible execution. The movie is quite often painful to watch, brimming with contrivances and pure unadulterated stupidity. Hudson doesn't have it in her to carry a movie like this, and what charms McConaughey does have are wasted on this awful script. There was a time where he made this movie over and over and over again. Hopefully he's finally out of that phase, but women love him in this crap, so who knows.

If stupid were a sin this one would be going straight to Hell. For whatever reason (besides the obvious good looking exterior) women have decided they LOVE Matthew McConaughey. Well I really don't get it. He's not compelling or truly charismatic. Kate Hudson does her bubbly best to try and keep this one funny, and she does succeed some of the time, but ultimately the movie is so standard rom-com that it betrays all her best efforts. Watch for the ridiculous reveal scene at the party toward

Or: How To Lose Me In 10 Minutes - not quite as bad as that pun would suggest; in fact this premise could have worked had it been pitched as a tighter, escalating farce with higher stakes and more scurrilous actors - McConaughey and Hudson can't play this nastily enough with their best moments coming during the quite lovely Staten Island visit (the second half plays much better once they begin to soften). Side notes: the William Duell cameo was nice, and co-produced by Robert Evans?

Kind of chick-flick from Miss Congeniality director D Petrie. If he continues to make similar movies, he will face the problem - how i lost audience in 10 days. Not sure if two leads really clicked but they serve well the idea of turning each other down. There is still some charm to make is movie watchable.

These two have the best on screen chemistry of any rom-com duo ever. Matthew McConaughey is so honest in everything he does and him and Kate Hudson take the silly plot and make something with real emotional depth. And yes, there are harmful gendered stereotypes here, but for a 2003 rom-com it's not bad. Love this movie

The delicious dramatic irony at the core of the plot here gives this rom-com a fresh and fun feel, even if it's still fairly insubstantial and ends with the predictable "fall out then make up" formula. Hudson's Andie and her mischievous antics are hysterical (4th quarter at the Knicks' game and guys' poker night are particular highlights), and McConaughey does well at playing the straight guy losing his patience. A solidly funny supporting cast of their respective best friends joins them.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is your usual run of the mill mushy rom-com. It's bad enough that this film is packed with countless cliches, but what makes this film even worse is it's completely moronic concept. In real life there is absoultely no way anybody could tolerate, never mind fall in love with two such ridiculous characters. Kate Hudson's performance is painful to watch, whilst Matthew McConaughey frustratingly somehow keeps settling for these terribly generic and sleazy roles.

A surprisingly exceptional romantic comedy of errors. I think this one comes down to casting more than anything. The script is very cute, there's some great lines and the story isn't all that convoluted. But it's the incredible chemistry of McConaghey and Hudson (whose comic chops at LEAST equal that of her mother) and the hilarity of the supporting cast (can Kathryn Hahn ever do wrong?!) that really brings this movie home. I'll still be digging this movie out when I'm 50.

Among all the chick flicks (and also a guy movie in some ways), this one manages to be funny thanks to Kate Hudson. Her job, the side characters, best friend, the "man", are so full of cliches, still she manages to pull it off. Good for laughs with pop corn.

You see, if I were an awesome journalist with a high wage I'd get fired for writing a 2000 word review mostly filled with expletives and bad puns like "how to lose 2 hours of your life...in 2 hours". Mistakes - 1) Women staring at Benjamin in an office scene, in the next shot they are then seen working with photocopiers and such, but then in the next shot, they're back to staring at Benjamin. 2) Benjamin's mug changes colour in another office scene. 3) In the basketball scene, the timer on the scoreboard and TV change several times.

Since the minor roles are just that -- minor -- this is Hudson and McConaughey's show all the way, and they carry the film as far as they can on their own before the ill-conceived third act brings them to a road block they don't recover from. This is an entertaining trifle to a point (complete with a poppy, catchy soundtrack), but it doesn't treat the character's or the audience's intelligence with the respect they deserve. By the end, you just don't care anymore.
