By this point in these movies, it’s concept is kind of it’s downfall. There is only so much you can do at this point, but where I will give this credit is a few interesting twists that make it entertaining to differentiate from the previous films. Outside of that, I like this concept, and I like these twists, but the written dialogue is quite bad at times, and some of the CGI definitely has a direct-to-video feel to it. Still…there are plenty of DtV films that are far worse.

It is a terrible movie. Even for a cheesy horror flick, it is terrible.

There was lot of reasons why I should not like it, but suspenders and the latter half managed to entertain me. Not total waste of time.

I can barely remember the first two but got pretty much what I was expecting here. Bar the face/off scene there’s limited gore in this one, but there are still a couple of chuckles to be had. Cheap straight-to-DVD crap but it’s stupid, throwaway and short enough not to get too worked up about.

Absolutely pale and lifeless in comparison to Roth's provocative double gore fest. This one is all about the splatter material and some twisty scrip mechanisms -- like the ending, of course. But it feels more like a dumb sexist vehicle to show pretty women's bodies and develop the silliest story you could think of -- a friend takes his friend about to get married to Vegas, only to slay him before the Elite Hunting Club so he can "steal" his fiancée.

I actually found this to be a pretty enjoyable horror flick. A lot more fun than the first two actually in terms of tone.

The tone, tension and cringe-inducing moments of the first two Hostels are not carried into the third. Part 3 attempts to be more of a twisting thriller by playing with your plot expectations at points... but doesn't subvert much of the formula in the end. The hallmark malicious brutality and creative gore of the franchise is sorely missing in this installment... Which, TBH, was the only reason to watch.

Brief, diverting and cruel, it doesn't have Eli Roth's zest for characters or fucking with the audience, but veteran direct-to-video helmer Scott Spiegel knows how to bring on the basic stuff we expect, scattered with just enough fresh torture ideas to keep from offending the gorehounds.

Surprises concern the refusal to reproduce stereotypes, of race and to a lesser extent gender, that previous 'Hostel's constructed as threatening. Which feels more like finding moderately clever ways to distinguish a sequel from precursors than some principled political critique of Roth's work, but actually works as both. The film doesn't work as torture porn horror, but this might also be deliberate - it doesn't try very hard. So this Hostel has less impact. Not sure that makes it worse though.

I watched Hostel and Hostel 2, and they seem to just keep getting worser, and not in any kind of good way, if ya know what i mean.

Such an interesting idea and plot gets ruined by the plot being centered around Frat-douches who never grew up. I didn't know who I hated more the Hunting Club or the supposed "Good Guys".

having one sight of blood within the first hour sums up the slow uninteresting and pointless build up to the final act. lacks the dark sick atmosphere of the first two with its generic characters and half thought out concept. but it contains enough entertainment value for a straight to dvd release.

Hostel, Part III, does what almost all horrors do by number three: It gets completely lost and desperate, trying so hard to ramp up escalate; that is sets up a construct so far from, the simple little formula on which is started that it no longer even a related film.

A crappy plot fluffed up with boobs, bum and a sprinkling of gore. The lead up to the gore scenes lack tension and when they arrive they don't have much substance. The whole 'betting on the torture via a computer' doesn't work either, I'm sure they could of thought of some better way to invove other participants... or perhaps they couldn't.
I suffered the torture of this horror of a horror so you don't have to.

the problem with this movie compared to the other 2 was that i didnt care. The first two had a really dark atmosphere and feeling of insanity where as all of that is lost in the third, its covered up with glitz and glam. It seems like the idea of torturing people as a type of gambling affair is a good idea but its just not exploited to the point where i was intruiged. Basically there was tons of potential here and while it wasnt a terrible watch it wasnt as good as it should have been.

None of these movies are exactly great, but for a direct-to-DVD movie this is quite entertaining. There are however way too many twists and the acting is laughable at times. But there is enough gore and tits to make it worth watching.

Relatively to the other two I 'enjoyed' this one more as it packs humour, steady pacing, snappy editing, surprising twists and a worthy ending.
Sadly there is less nudity, but hey, you can't have everything.
