Honolulu

Two Robert Young's is one and half too many, but that's what you get in Honolulu (1939). Eleanor Powell's dancing numbers was the best thing in this comedy, but also felt it had very little to do with the headache that was going on here. And not enough George Burns & Gracie Allen as a pair, though Allen did get her moments. Sadly this was the last time the married couple would appear in the same film together.

Powell's last number is certainly scintillating, but with other Gracie Allen pictures, a little of her is far too much. Well made, but not for me.
