Feels like there's enough happening here to draw me in, but it's all too generic. Being based on a comic book cowboy, The Red Ryder series didn't have the same care as some of the other mediums. That was the idea with kids oriented content back then. So the philosophy was, just shoot and and be done with it. No special touches to make the characters stand-out or anything.
