Home of the Brave

Rather than tell a heartfelt, thought-provoking story, Home of the Brave piles on thick levels of melodrama and treats its subjects as one-dimensional stock characters rather than human beings.

This movie is supposed to be about the emotional effects that soldiers may have when they come back home from the war. However, the acting is bad, the story is horrible and the characters never pull you in. Aka this movie sucks.

Home coming snoozefest.

Somewhat overkill in its anti-war message, but the beginning battle scene was engaging, and the movie was well acted.

Jessica Biel like you've never seen her before (with one hand, but still horrible). Saw the preview and was pulled in by DMB song being played over it. Sadly the song didn't make the movie. 50 Cent act should stick to rap music for now. I think they overdid it with all the crazy stuff that happened when they came back from the war, but maybe that was Winky's point. The Sam Jackson Turkey Day scene was pretty good. Oh the movie cut off with about 5 minutes left. maybe that was a good thing.

The Crash of war movies. Utterly trite and self-important. Also, Brian Presley is about one smug glance away from being a less enthused Steve Seagal.
