Hollow Man II

Technically not bad, but fails to hold the attention of the viewer for the whole duration and fight scenes are spread thinly between dull chase sequences where very little actually happens worthy of note.

This sequel still has the feel of the original and ultimately the story is really not that different. The effects and visuals are pretty good and the film moves at a good pace. The cast is certainly weaker, but Slater isn't too bad as the invisible dude.

Hollow Man 2 continues the story of the first film by involving its characters with an almost identical plot. After the failure of Sebastian Caine as a test subject to test the power of invisibility, the government decided to try out this experiment again. The difference is that they tested it on a well-trained soldier. And guess what; nothings changed! The test subject was Michael Griffin (Christian Slater) and now he's become uncontrollable for anyone to handle.

Makes the first one seem like a half-decent movie.

Impressively poor in both its writing and directing, but I was most taken with how much the lead resembles a poor man's Tom Cruise.

Lacking even the slight amount of charm the first one had.

In around three minutes in the very beginning there was interesting sculpture. Do not go further than that. This movie is completely empty, no story nor tension what so ever and Christian Slater's part is mostly voice-over.

This movie taught me a Pro Tip for Invisible People: Let's say you are chasing somebody down a crowded sidewalk, likely in order to murder them. You are having a wonderful time brutally shoving people out of the way until your quarry cuts across the street, getting lightly clipped by a passing car. Here is the tip - let the chase go! If a visible person nearly gets killed in the attempt, how much better will an INvisible person fare?

Sequels to terrible movies are crimes against humanity.
