Hitler's Children

Ed Wood bad without the fanfare. Marlon Brando made sure he was always doing something with his hands, the male lead in Hitler's Children rarely uses his shoulders. There's some awkward close ups and transparent directing in this late-night-cable piece of propaganda.

This drama is basically a education in Nazi philosophy. Solid way to illustrate it even if Bonita Granville didn't really have the range to get the drama across. She delivered one of the most intense child performances of the 1930s in These Three (1936), but as she grew older she fit more into the lighter material and not this wretched Nazi world. Hitler's Children (1943) did get it's point across.
