Transparently a vehicle for the corny comedy of Wheeler and Woolsey, this was pretty funny and not too long. The costumes were great all around. I really enjoyed how a lot of the costume styles presaged the 1980's, including the exaggerated, old-timey dandy look on Woolsey and the chorus girls in what looked like studded leather halter tops - they really looked like something from MTV 50 years later.

I really enjoy Wheeler & Woolsey. They were the first comedy duo to emerge with the sound era and they were funny. They didn't always have the best material to work with, but they usually made the most of it. And this movie is kind of like that. Limited material, but made good by the duo regardless. Didn't hurt that this comedy was very pre-code with many sexy girls with as little as possible that the 30s morals would allow. Had to love the "testing of lipstick" sequence. Naughty naughty!
