Highlander: Endgame

2021'de #IzlediğimFilmler : 284. Highlander: Endgame (2000) Diziyi izlemeden önce bu filme biraz burun kıvırmıştım, ancak dizi ve film Highlander dünyasını bir şekilde güzel birleştirmeye çalıştıklarını gördüm bu izlememde. Notunu biraz yükseltiyorum.

Seriously underrated, I don't get all the hate. You have both MacLeod's doing a fine job, you have a really good villain, you have spectacular action/fighting scenes with some talented actors. The only reason I don't rate it even higher is the editing is a little spotty at times and the special effects could have been better.

Everyone involved in this must be carrying a serious hatred of the original film. It's the only way this could exist - a bunch of disgruntled Highlander-hate-fetishists got together to make a film that poops on every single aspect of the original.

Endgame seems to forget there were other Highlander films before it that established, uh rules and history and stuff. Oh, it also forgot to be good.

I don't remember much about this movie but i'm pretty sure that it sucked!

Thought this was possibly the best of the series, nice capper. A lot of people will say "That's not saying much", and maybe they're right, but this whole series just *works* for me.

not so good

Basically an excuse to get the two Highlanders franchises together.

Well the first two were successful this one must be a winner. Right? Our survey said NO. No plot, strained acting and everyone just wants it to end .. please.. now

The dialogue & story are terribly stupid but the sword play is exciting & fun. Some nice scenes to be sure, too bad the actors are so dour & serious about so inane a story.

worst in the series

Oooof. Painful. My favourite part was Genghis Khan breaking out with contemporary slang despite his 1000 year nap. He's clearly a quick study.

The whole idea of the Highlander is completely badass. Why do they have such trouble writing a decent movie? I want to like these movies, but they're so fucking bad. This one didn't even make sense within it's own continuity.

Campy and droll, this cash-in sequel adds nothing to the franchise.
