I know a bad Sam Newfield movie when I see one, and this not a bad Sam Newfield movie. Probable bad compared to anyone competent, but since this hack director wasn't exactly known for refined style, Hi-Jacked (1950) does provide decent amount of road action and fairly good acting, with a few glaring omissions. A very good role for Jim Davis, but I'm not sure how to take Sid Melton as the killer comic relief.
