Her First Adventure

Before D.W. Griffith was a director he was an actor appearing in primitive American Mutoscope & Biograph works like this. You can barely make out who's the actors here as this is all about the running shots. First the dog.... then wait a long while before the cops run by... then wait some more for the women to run past the camera. And some more of that until they finally retrieve the missing girl. VERY basic film making, but for some reason it manages to come alive.

Typical stuff from the chase film fad, though I have a feeling someone at Biograph was watching the perennially popular "Rescued by Rover" when they thought of this one.

Fairly boring stuff.
