Hellmaster

They spent so much time coming up with what different colour to light the next scene they forgot to figure out the script so we are stuck with the emotional toll of piecing together why David Emge came out of acting retirement to run around with a crossbow firing syringes full of goo while an always thirsty John Saxon skulks around stabbing people with syringes full of goo.

This was so bad. The sound was bad. The plot was bad. The characters and lines were so bad. The themes were okay. The best things about this movie were probably the set pieces with monsters approaching humans. Fav scene: "are you a real nun?"

Mildly entertaining but incredibly dumb.

Some hilariously bad acting and dialogue is not helped by the characters making decisions that are dumb even by slasher movie standards. John Saxon doesn't chew enough scenery to pop up this early 1990s turkey.

The return of my elusive Under 60 score has arrived courtesy of this steaming pile of preachy religious dreck that somehow has John Saxon in it. No disrespect to the cast, but none of them give remarkable performances here & several feel like outright non-actors for most of their screentime. The plot is nonsense, as is the entire script & story structure. One of the most poorly written films I've ever seen. Boring, severely lacking in gore to make up for the awful story, &...oh, boring. Dud.
