Hellion

While the film is saved by some solid performances, Hellion is simply a collection of other troubled-family-indie-flicks-where-the-teenage-son-is-a-douche.

This rock & roll family has certainly hit a rough patch.

Hell, this again?

Great drama. Strong characters, no doubt, great work of the actors, well-constructed storyline. Reminds me why I'm into independent film at the first place - the beauty and pain of the ordinary life will never seize to strike me.

Emotions are running high through-out this film, which amps up the intensity as young Jacob fights to bring stability to a situation that is growing increasingly more volatile and destructive. Some fine acting from young Josh Wiggins, the kid has a bright future ahead of him. Hellion is simple in execution and plot structure, yet dynamic in it's ability to capture the vulnerability of each character. Aaron Paul is a great lead actor, but the kids steal the show in this emotionally charged film.
