Hell Hath No Fury

A pleasantly entertaining little break from the often large scale WWII films depicting important battles or events. There aren't enough of these small, personal stories out there and they certainly don't usually lean heavy into the action like this one. It's a little bit like "Kelly's Heroes" only more serious and less humor.

Pretty fun and suspenseful little WWII actioner with a sharp eye for twists and kind of a classic war movie set-up that conveys most of its thrills through the tense, unpredictable nature of the characters' interactions -- Bergman particularly delivers as a french young woman accused of collaborationism and trying to survive among greedy Americans, French resistance dudes and her nazi lover. All she wants is just to get rid of a gold she considers cursed.

I enjoyed the many twisty plot changes. Nina Bergman was gorgeous and is very talented. All the actors played their roles extremely well. The story was fairly well written, and there was quite a lot of tension. Alliances kept changing, but not always in an entirely believable way. The violence and drama played together very well, making it very entertaining and engaging. Not without its flaws, but fun and well worthwhile.
