Heat

This one has an unusual structure. It begins like a revenge film but soon slows down, spending a lot of time at a casino just hanging out with Burt and Peter MacNicol. It ramps up the action towards the end with some brutal action scenes filmed in slow motion using strange editing choices. It is also set in Vegas during Christmas which gives it an unique atmosphere. While not everything works, there are some powerful scenes and a solid performance from Burt. A minor gem in Burt's filmography.

This film is to over the top sometimes and also some of the action scenes are laughable. The cast tries their best but some scenes just don't work. Overall this film is disappointing.
