Though dated has some pluses. Basically street racers are way outclassed by a (former) real racing car driver, they just need to to be shown that is so. Car fans would probably add 15 points, apparently footage, including an actual GP event, is real - male lead was a fully fledged racer ALA McQueen - female lead is very easy on the eyes. Plot is on the thin and obvious side so non-car fans would probably find this lacking. Opening IMO looks to be a nod to classic short "Rendezvous".
