Headless

This was a surprisingly fun little horror film that I rarely hear about. Not much story here but they make up for it with extra helpings of blood and eyeballs.

Serious retro horror, Headless masquerades as a 1978 slasher film with aplomb, getting the costumes and hair and period slang just right, as well as the image and blood effects and soundtrack. Hooper, Zarchi and early Craven are pretty much cited. Only the level of gore and disgusting depravity hark more to the late eighties underground standards set by Guinea Pig and Necromantik, with focus on the killer like in Maniac, Angst or Henry: Portrait.
