After a series of quality British musicals in the mid-30s, they seem to run out of ideas for Jessie Matthews. This becomes too romantic focused in it's selections of songs and there is only a small showcase of Matthews dance skills. Instead of taking advantage of Matthews' comic timing they put her in a standard love triangle trying to choosing between Robert Flemyng & Louis Borel. Neither a good match. Thankfully Matthews has so much personality that she still manages to keep this afloat.
