Christian Slater does a great work here. I'm really enjoy. A mix of dark humor with drama, with spinning here and there, and an end to these are open to interpretation.

A very black comedy. It feels like someone took Fight Club and upped the surrealism to another level. Then decided to make it a bit more realistic in terms of the finale. Christian Slater is good, in fact compared to what he's been in lately he's great. A disturbing film no doubt but worth seeing.

Visually great black comedy that left me thinking about it a long time before I fell asleep. It's funny and disturbing trip for Slaters character finding himself. Slater is no doubt doing one of his best performances and Cuthbert is also showing us some of her previously unseen skills.

Surprisingly good movie with probably the only good performance I've seen from Christian Slater. Elisha Cuthbert is decent but I guess she's just eye candy in everything she's in. Overall an interesting dark comedy that is worth checking out.

Despite it's multiple flaws, He Was a Quiet Man is a great flick. The plot twist was completely unexpected.

Actually a pretty fresh movie that I suspect is a bit deeper than you can be led to believe. Also, bringing up a subject like this and treating it the way the do without becoming a pompous pile of clichés helps too.

A real trippy melodrama. Direct-to-DVD indie black comedies are really hard to enjoy, but I give credit to Christian Slater for trying some real character work in this film. He's almost impossible to recognize. I rented this film out of curiosity. I'm still curious because the ending doesn't make a lick of sense.

Is in many dramatdies, the drama and the comedy don't perform equally. In this case, the comedy works but the drama, not so much. Moreover, the ending doesn't work.

Lost patience with it pretty quickly when it kept missing every opportunity to be a little bit subversive

I suppose in a dark comedy characters can become caricatures, but slater's character struck me as totally uncredible (but then again, how many office shooters have I met)

A black comedy that's too black to be very comedic. Impressive how you can't even recognize Christian Slater's appearance.

Thoroughly engaging black comedy/drama with a fantastic performance from Slater, and charmingly supported by Cuthbert. Macy was ...well, Macy! The story of a quiet man, pushed into madness by the loss of his family, and even more so by his loathsome colleagues is quirky, funny, surreal and thought provoking. The CGI was meant to be rubbish as it only ever existed in Bobs imagination, as did 80% of the events in the film. Loved the talking goldfish, the voice in his head!. Well worth a view.

nice little film, great performance from Christian Slater and while I'm not an expert on Cuthbert's body of work I'd hazard a guess that's her best film so far. Bit trippy/Jacob's Ladderesque at the end which by no means detracts from any of it

Slater plays the lead quite convincingly, but the rest of the film (story, direction, execution) falls flat. It's not offensively bad, but even then it seems as if the worthlessness of the direction (the special effects are particularly pathetic) makes the redeeming qualities of Slater's performance all for naught.

Like a dark 'Office Space'. Different movie, unformulaic, and with some humour. Oh ya, and atrocious CGI.

This movie has a few good moments but the bad script weights it down.

The movie was just a tad slow for me. However it the only one I have seen which delves into the lives of a frustrated cubicle worker (think Dilbert!). Oh, and then there is the stunning Elisha who plays the bitchy Vanessa Parks but looks worth a million in the movie.

Promising story, excellent acting from Christian Slater and good make up on him. Be aware, there's a big difference between fantasy and reality in here. Unfortunately the film itself does not reach the level of the complicate plot, and the script is not well written till the end.

Premise of this movie could work pretty well in a normal drama but for some reason they tried to mix things a bit and only managed to fuck it up. I haven't seen this bad acting in a while and also director/writer Cappello could go back to film school. William H. Macy has the only decent part in this mess of a movie.

With such a pathetic cast I was really expecting to hate this but it wasn't that bad. The ending totally ruined it for me though.

What if the crazy guy gets a second chance at life? At the job, at the friends, at the girl, at respect? Here's one way.... In turns dark and uplifting and depressing and beautiful. It all comes crashing down at the end though, and I wish they'd taken a bit more time to explain it... Christian Slater does an amazing job here though, and Elisha Cuthbert gets naked. So there.
