A hard rock band travels to the tiny and remote town of Grand Guignol to perform. Peopled by hicks, rubes, werewolves, murderous dwarves, sex perverts, and Hitler, the town is a strange place but that doesn't stop the band's lead singer from falling in love with a local girl named Cassie. After Nazi sex perverts kill the band to satisfy their lusts, Cassie calls the rockers back from the grave to save her, the town, and maybe the world. (imdb)

Disappointingly boring 80's comedy/horror/music B-movie that tries really really hard to be a campy rock-n-roll fun horror/comedy, but instead it's just a lot of slow paced bad comedy and generic "rock" music. Although there is some so-bad-it's-good fun to be had, too much of the movie is unremarkably bad. Possibly a musical exposé on rock stars, the occult, and their perverse relationships with under aged girls disguised as an over-the-top horror/comedy satire, but for some reason I doubt that

Nonsensical in a lot of parts, as if they shot a lot of footage without a purpose and then demanded to use everything during editing. At first, we found this hysterical, but by just midway through the film, the group that had gathered to mock and laugh at this crap movie was just silently resigned to finishing it, out of a stubborn insistence on Finding Out What Happens. Warning: this movie contains no actual hard rock.

However you think this is going to play out after you press play, you are so wrong.

Unfortunately, it's not nearly as funny as that plot summary makes it sound. It aims at that level of hilarious badness, but falls way short and lands in the muck of unwatchability.

With such a summary, it's hard to imagine this not to be funny. Unfortunately, it tries WAY too hard to be hilarious, and fails in every way. You've got awful 80's music, mullets and puffy hair, slow pace, nazi zombies/midgets and loads of other crap. Plus when the rockband come back to life, they look like the band Kiss.. Yuch

Tons of cheesy comedy, corny gore and lame rock tunes lipsynched by a guy with a HUGE mullet and thin 80's mustache. It's really bad but kinda fun....and you really can't go wrong with a film where a midget Nazi zombie attacks a cow.

Just look at the summary, that tells you why I love it. If you're looking into this movie in the first place, you probably are right up its alley.

A bit better than I feared, and IMO clearly the better film in Vinegar Syndrome’s recent Blu-ray release where it’s paired with "Slaughterhouse Rock". It’s ridiculous but still more coherent and seriously done than e.g. Troma flicks. There’s plenty of 80’s aesthetics and WTF moments to enjoy, and the band + songs were cheesy fun, although hardly “hard rock”. There’s also a lot of looping and padding, which is strange as it's already over 95 mins and starts to lose steam towards the end.

This film can be classified as such: The plot is so bad, it's good, but the execution is so bad, that it is bad, but the experience is so excruciating that watching it with friends makes it a night to remember and you will be friends forever.
