a quirky, indie movie that strives to drill this style into the viewer so that you forgive it for making no sense. more than this movie has characters it centers around bizarre, unexplained actions that the objects of the movie do or have happen to them. The point: unclear; the plot: unclear. some decent performances

quirktastic freudian drama

I liked the ideas of an unconfident and eccentric boy finding his way in the world, getting a job, living on the rooftops of Edinburgh and spying on people... but having him get embroiled with exposing criminal activity and solving crimes was a direction I would have preferred not to go down. Some nice aesthetics but marred by the silly resolution.

peeping tom when he was in his age of climax- great!

If this movie had been with Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullocks it would have been a disaster. The actors does a great job however, lifting this not particularly great script into something else entirely. Jamie Bell does a particularly good job. I loved him in Billy Elliot and Deathwatch and the kid seems to be developing better and better acting skills.
