Halifax F.P. - Swimming With Sharks

Well-crafted installment in the series of TVMs is marked by Gibney's perfect mix of no-nonsense authority and brittle fragility - certain story elements are a little too studiously copied from SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, and certain secondary characters are stereotyped in such a way to cause a wince; the ultimate villian is also wheeled in arbitrarily, but it's par for the cause for this genre. Excellent direction, especially during the quite intense prison riot sequence.
