Really long and slow descent into the regrets of a couple of society women. Well shot, but doesn't amount to much for me.

as good a start as any for Yang and Doyle, but Sylvia Chang owns this movie

Just in his first film Yang already shows an aptitude for depicting families in a moving way, although he hasn’t yet figured out how to make his style as gripping (to some) as he will later on. Heightened by some beautiful early cinematography from Christopher Doyle, although he clearly also still has a ways to go before he reaches his later heights.
