I knew they trolled but not with such noble intentions in mind. A pretty effective way to fight against hypocrisy and unconstitutional actions. Other than the edge lord lady they had to boot out, they people seemed more sensible than 99 percent of politicians and platforms. Luckily the subject matter is interesting because the doc itself is pretty meh, with some directional issues.

The group is not really what I was expecting, and in a good way. I think a lot of what they do is clever and effective, with the exception of everything Jex did. I'm also down for the 7 tenets.

An investing look into a bunch of weirdos, who also have an agenda that, as an European I had to remind myself of every three minutes because I'm unfamiliar with this kind of extreme religiousness.

Very informative and entertaining, even if I wasn't quite 100% captivated from start to finish.

Somewhat Interesting take how a group of nerdy edgelords fails to find agreement about their political platform. I am even more convinced how little critique of christianism may give us.

When Satan gets mentioned, two things invariably spring to mind: the iconic works by Mr. John Milton and Mr. Trey Parker. This reasonably decent doc, however, I already have little to no recollection of.

This documentary about the Satanic Temple does a good job of spreading the word about what the organization really is and who the people involved are. What it doesn't do a very good job of is focusing on any sort of clear narrative. It feels like it keeps going after the 1 hour point to fill out its run time to feature length.

I guess I've been a member of the TST for a long time and I just didn't know about that. Too bad the documentary is not nearly as provocative as the movement depicted -- and I would love to watch a film about Jex instead.

I'm not going to go into what I think The Satanic Temple is doing right, and what they are doing wrong. But this deep dive into the religion hit a nerve, and highlighted the extreme hypocrisy and stupidity running rampant in America today. Well done.

This is a great little piece that goes from absurd and very funny to something quite poignant and important for this mess of country we live in right now.

What started as an eccentric movement becomes political, not because satanists are an active public, but because they attract the everyday discrimination and hatred in society, by simply existing. Their subsequent activism is fun to watch and a good lesson in civility. Just like Nietzsche's anti-Christ, in an age where God is killed by the believers themselves, embracing satan becomes a truthful pursuit. Though I should say, other than that, the film doesn't have any outstanding formal quality.
